the small raven haired wolfess awoke with a start, covering her mouth with her hand and making an awful noise. she jumped up off the ground and ran out of the cave, just barely making it before she got sick. violently sick. but just as soon as it had came, it passed. though it left her sweating and shaking. she stepped over the mess and walked a couple feet away, kneeling down and washing her face with cool water, taking some in her mouth and swishing it around to get the taste away. that was the third time in a row she had woken up sick. and it was awful. she couldn't see herself in the water, but she was sure that she didn't look too hot. her skin was probably all pasty and sick looking. she groaned.

she stood up, but then noticed something. something different in the way her body was moving. her hands flew immeadiately to her normally flat stomach. however, it was no longer flat. there was a small bump there. an indicator of something. was she getting fat?! she shook her head, no that wasn't possible. not only had she been sick, but she didn't eat much anyway. so then.. if she wasn't fat... her pale blue eyes widened as a memory smacked her right in the face.

She took another drink. Her head felt so light, nothing made sense. But she liked this feeling.. It was amazing. "Good." she answered him absently, taking another drink. She heard him moving closer her, and smelled his breath as their faces got closer. But what happened next shocked her, even in her current state of mind. She felt his lips on her's and then gasped. But then, she giggled and took another drink. "That made me tingle." she said in a giddly voice, utterly unashamed.

His eyes widened at her words, they sounded oh so wrong but were spoken in a tone that conveyed no wrongness. But now he knew, without a doubt and in full certainty, that she was his. "Hmmm, oh really? Well I can do much better than that...", he couldn't help but loose his tongue to the words that he normally would not have said out loud. With that he leaned forward again and took her as his.

she felt sick again as she dropped onto her knees. if her stomach wasn't already empty, she probably would have puked again. what had she done? she was pregnant now, with rai-chan's babies, and he was nowhere to be found. she hadn't seen him since that night, which was last season back at the beginning of fall. she felt something wet on her cheeks and brought her hands up on her face. crying, she was crying. it sort of came as a shock to her, since it had been so long since she had last cried. but soon enough the shock melded away into sorrow and she doubled over, her shoulders heaving with her tears. what had she done? what had she done? she didn't even notice the approach of the male.

She jumped as she felt his hand on her face. For a moment, she didn't even know who he was, but then his scent invaded her nostrils. It was Rai-Chan. She felt her heart skip a beat, though she didn't smile. She couldn't smile, tears were still streaming down her cheeks as she looked at the face she couldn't see. The father of her pups was kneeling right in front of her, and he didn't seem to know what was going on. Could he not remember it? Had he been like her? Whatever that awful stuff was he convinced her to drink had been what caused it. She couldn't remember if he had had any or not. The only she could remember was...

"Are you broken?"

Her eye-brows scrunched together in confusion, and her tears quit flowing. "Am I...?" She shook her head, it didn't matter, there were more important things to talk about right now. She grabbed his hand from her cheek and sat more upright, placing in on her now round stomach. Though she knew she would get much bigger, Selene had. "Rai-Chan, I'm..." She couldn't even say it, she couldn't even speak in full sentences today. With a small whimper, she doubled over again, both of her tiny hands still on his arm. Tears flowed down her face. "What am I gonna do?" She whispered.

'He knows..?' So then, he could remember that night. She bit her lip. She hated this, she hated this crying. It was stupid, there was nothing she could do now. But she couldn't help it. She felt him pick her up and put her in his lap. Her tiny body nestled in his arms. She laid her head on his chest as the tears that poured down her cheeks slowed and then finally ceased. She still felt scared though. What if she couldn't do it? Why was this happening her? What had she even done in her life to deserve this. She thought back to her parents warnings of Rai-Chan. Had they been right all along? Even so, she couldn't help but love him. She didn't think he felt the same about her though, and so she kept her mouth shut about those feelings. The last thing she needed right now was a broken heart.

"Don't worry about it, I'm gonna take care of you. You'll be fine, I promise. Just tell me I didn't break you."

Her eyesbrows came together again. More about her being broke? What did he even mean by that? It was confusing her, but it seemed to be bothering him. "I'm not broken?" She said, though confusion was clear on her tone. "I'm just.." Yet another tear rolled down her pale cheek, "Scared." The word came out in a hushed whisper. He could reasure her all he wanted, but that wouldn't change a thing. The real reason she was crying was because she was terrified.

She sighed, her head still leaned on his chest. Her hands dropped down her stomach, feeling the little bump that was their children. It suddenly hit her that she would never get to know what they looked like. Her own puppies, and she would never know. The thought of this only saddened her more. Life was so unfair. All she wanted to do was mope about and whine, though she knew that would just get on other's nerves. And honestly, it would get on her nerves if someone did it around her. But still, this was so awful. She could see no upside to this. None. She got to be pregnant, having pups, and then be depressed because she couldn't see them. Lovely.

"Just let me know if you need anything, kay? And I'll stick around as much as I can."

Her face remained a blank slate, though on the inside she was smirking. She had a feeling, that now she could get him to do anything she wanted him to. Now, that was indeed lovely. She could take advantage of him, make him do needless little things. But she wouldn't. That just wasn't how she was. It never occured to her to be angry with him. It never occured to her that Rai-Chan might have planned all of this. She just thought it was all an awful accident. "Just like.. Come around more often." She shrugged. She was still too shy to ask for what she really wanted. She gazed sightlessly downa at her stomach. The one thing she really didn't want was to be alone when it happened.

Hinata felt like there were so many questions she wanted to ask him, and yet, she couldn't put them into words. It was like they went beyond her vocabulary. It frustrated her a bit, but not enough for her actually care. She pulled knees up to her chest, her feet resting on his opposite leg. She wrapped her arms around her knees, though her head remained on his chest. This was already more difficult to do, what would she do when she couldn't at all? Cry, probably. She felt very teary lately. Though she had no reason to cry right now, she was sure she could think of one if she really wanted to. She didn't want to cry right now, so she decided to think of something that wasn't sad.

But she couldn't think of anything. How wonderful. She played with her pant leg absently. The silence, well, she was enjoying it. It was nice. She listened to the sound of the falls behind them, and watched as a light snow began to fall. Wonderful, this winter would be a cold one. She enjoyed the cold, but she was sure she wouldn't like it too much when she had to sleep in that cave alone on cold nights.
